Master Thesis
This thesis is an inquiry on exploration in the field of design that addresses the topic of living in a family in which the father is absent and its consequences.
The research consists of two parts, the theoretical part and the practical one. The theoretical part investigates the importance of fathering; meanwhile, in the practical part, the findings will be presented through a series of visual experiments. The results will be based on my own experience of being raised in a family where the Father is absent, as well as on research on other people’s experiences.
An initial literature review shows that living in a fatherless home has long term consequences on a child’s social life.
«When I was born, Kosovo was part of ex-Yugoslavia. It was one of the most underdeveloped regions in the country where poverty was high, people were not educated enough-especially Albanians, unemployed and living in very poor conditions.»
